Description

1-800-GOT-JUNK? is seeking a contract Business Analyst to join our innovation team In this role, you will play a pivotal part in driving innovation, with a primary focus on optimizing labor efficiency and diverting waste away from landfills.

Travel required (up to 30%) to various locations across Canada and the US
This is a 6month contract position with the potential for extension based on performance and project needs

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including:, operations, product, and technology teams to drive forward innovation and achieve transformation goals
Document critical operational activities, processes, technology systems, and reporting tools in partnership with internal and external stakeholders
Analyze operational activities based on time, effort, and value, providing actionable recommendations for operational improvements and diversion strategies
Partner with Technical Architects to evaluate feasibility and effort required to optimize operational workflows and diversion
Assess existing products and tools, as well as research new technologies, to identify opportunities for efficiency gains
Engage with internal and externals stakeholders to understand current operations, map progresses, and gather requirements
Develop business process models using best practices, including current and future state solution design documents
Write comprehensive functional and technical specifications for technical team members
Track and manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring clarity during implementation, quality assurance, and user acceptance testing
Serve as a strong communicator and change advocate, conducting stakeholder analysis and communications planning to drive innovation initiatives

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or Process Optimization Specialist
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
Exceptional documentation and organizational abilities
Excellent communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
Passionate about improving operational efficiency
Keen interest for data and enabling reporting capabilities
Ability to work autonomously and take charge of projects
Travel required (up to 30%) to various locations across Canada and the US
