About Sunzen Art Gallery


With 20 years of history operating in Qingdao, China, Sunzen Art Gallery opened its new Asian art space and cultural centre in Vancouver, Canada in 2019.

We work closely with artists and collectors around the world to collectively further the creation of an international Chinese art community and to connect the local community with the rich cultural history of China.

Our current collection features traditional and modern Chinese art, contemporary ceramics, classical furniture, tea sets and premium Pu'er Tea. Projects are presented in the form of exhibitions, talks and interviews, publications, social events, and special projects.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


Business Development

  • Identify potential clients in the target market and complete appropriate research on the prospective client's business needs.
  • Develop relationships with prospective clients, local businesses, and organizations while maintaining existing client relationships.
  • Negotiate terms with clients skillfully and communicate with the team.
  • Promote Sunzen Art Gallery and its products; increase company visibility.
  • Become an expert on our products, including ceramic, teaware, tea, furniture, artifact and art pieces.
  • Handles client interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; resolves customer complaints; assists customers with all inquiries in connection with our products, hours of operations, key personnel, events, directions, etc; responds to guest requests in an accurate and timely manner.

General Requirements

  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, and to meet the necessary needs.
  • Participate actively in a multifunctional work environment.
  • Assist with emergency situations when and where required.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to guests' concerns and respond with a _Make it Right Attitude_.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Must have at least 1year experience in luxury retail, hospitality, or customer service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with prospects.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Postsecondary education or a related field is a definite asset.
  • Technical skills in Word, Excel, G Suite and POS systems.
  • Ability to work in a teamoriented, multitasked environment, and to thrive in ambiguity and changes.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
  • Madarin/Cantonese and Driver's License are an asset.

Salary:
$36,000.00-$42,000.00 per year
