UAE QuickBooks Bookkeeper

Job description
I am looking for an experienced UAE-based or UAE-experienced accountant/bookkeeper who is highly proficient with QuickBooks Online to help set up and organize the accounting for a newly established business.
This project has two phases:
1. Initial one-time cleanup and system setup
2. Ongoing monthly bookkeeping and future VAT / corporate tax filings
The business is in fit out stage, but QuickBooks has not yet been properly used. I have organized documentation including bank statements, receipts, and transactions.

Phase 1 — Initial Setup & Historical Entry
Scope includes:
- QuickBooks Online configuration
- UAE-compliant Chart of Accounts creation
- VAT setup (5% UAE tax codes)
- Corporate tax–ready structure (equity, shareholder contributions, loans)
- Inventory and Cost of Goods Sold setup
Entry and categorization of historical transactions including:
- Business bank accounts
- Business credit cards
- Personal funds used for business expenses
- Partner contributions
Proper classification of:
- Owner contributions vs shareholder loans
- Inventory purchases vs marketing/expense items
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Receipt attachment and organization inside QuickBooks
Deliverables expected:
- Clean QuickBooks file
- Trial Balance
- Profit & Loss
- Balance Sheet
- VAT summary
- Inventory valuation report
- List of assumptions/questions
Phase 2 — Ongoing Work (after setup)
Potential ongoing monthly engagement including:
- Monthly bookkeeping and reconciliation
- Receipt matching
- Management reports
- VAT return preparation and filing
- Corporate tax preparation when applicable
Requirements (Important)
