Basic Function

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Supply Chain, the Lead, Sales and Distribution will lead the distribution customer service team and
provide analytical and sales support and recommendations for all wholesale accounts in effort to improve and increase distribution sales processes.**:

Nature and Scope

:


The Lead, Sales and Distribution will thoroughly support the distribution team by analyzing and understanding overall distribution sales and increase overall customer satisfaction via improvement of service levels. The Lead, Sales and Distribution must possess superior sales analysis skills which will enable them to make appropriate recommendations to optimize overall department profit and loss. In addition, they must also lead, support and motivate a team to work towards achieving goals to contribute to the growth of the organization. To meet business requirements, and as business dictates, the position may require overtime/shift work on a rotational basis.

What you will do

:


Sales Analysis (50% commitment)

  • Develop business plan, drive performance, achieve annual sales goals and KPI's
  • Establishes and maintains customer relationships
  • Works to develop new sales, bring on new customers and increase current customer sales
  • Maintain and analyze sales report to track attainment of growth objectives
  • Compile data from customer sales to analyze, evaluate and report data in actionable insights/analytics that the management team can leverage
  • Analyze sales data & trends, and evaluate performance to identify both budget variances and business opportunities
  • Provide customized reporting (Weekly/Monthly/Annual) and recommendations in support of ongoing business decisions or initiatives
  • Monitors and reviews all major account forecast fluctuations and works with replenishment analyst to ensure proper stock levels are kept at the Distribution Centers
  • Liaise with finance department to optimize profit and loss
  • On occasion may accompany management on external meetings with major accounts

Leadership (35% commitment)

  • Manage the daytoday activities of the team
  • Promote a positive environment through support, coaching, team motivation and positive feedback
  • Ensure daily service levels are met
  • Conduct training of new employees and or current employees to enhance their development and potential
  • Identify areas of opportunity, or methods of process improvement and escalate to the attention of the manager

Order entry and customer service (5% commitment)

  • Entry of client orders in multiple system ensuring accuracy and completeness of required information to facilitate the order.
  • Analyze orders to ensure all items normally required are included, quantities are reasonable, account is established, and delivery expectations can be met.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Handle customer complaints effectively with satisfactory resolutions.
  • Provides customers with information on items currently on backorder to provide the stores an accurate availability date.
  • Report all Adverse Events (AE) and Product Technical Complaints (PTC) immediately or as soon as possible
  • Liaison with Warehouse team for order processing, and process alignments

Ad hoc/ management support (10% commitment)

  • Available to work Monday-Friday 9 am 6 pm
  • Must be flexible to work overtime or be on call when required
  • Preparation of sales presentations for management team
  • Other projects and or tasks assigned by the Manager, Warehouse and Order desk, including any of the above

What you will need

  • Minimum of 2 to 4 years' experience in a sales analyst and leadership role or related experience
  • Pharmaceutical background or sales experience preferred
  • Demonstrated multitasking, analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Proactive, strong interpersonal, negotiation and consensus building skills and the ability to work in a fastpaced teamoriented environment.
  • Responsive, adaptable to change and is selfdirected.
  • Ability to identify problems and draw upon a range of choices to formulate solutions.
  • Proactive and selfmotivating
  • Adaptable to set and prioritize work with occasional exceptions. Able to work with diverse personalities and styles.
