Main Responsibilities- Participates in month end closing activities, which includes creating & posting journal entries under the direction of the Asst Controller.
- Assists Controller with reports necessary for month end closing including income statements, bridge comments, footnotes, OPIS, and MOR.
- Responsible for the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assists Controller with financial audits as required.
- Backup to Costing role performing maintenance of all tasks related to Product Costing in a
- Responsible for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable activities including analysis and
- Responsible for the maintenance of the 5S Program for departmental activities including archiving and
- Assists department managers in analysis of data.
- Participates and assists Controller with annual physical Inventory and Capital Asset Inventory.
- Backup to Payroll role.
- Performs other duties as requested by the Plant Controller or Group Accounting.
Education:
Major Bachelor Degree/Diploma with major in Business or Accounting, Achievement of CPA Designation or enrolment in CPA Program considered an asset.
Work Experience:
Two to four years accounting and financial experience with cost accounting experience considered an asse
