We are presently seeking a new team member to join our Recreation Therapy Department at Coquihalla Gillis House in Merritt, BC.

As a Recreation Therapy Worker | Bus Driver, you will work as a member of the interdisciplinary team and be responsible for implementing our established Recreation Therapy Program.

Your duties include carrying out individual or group leisure/recreation therapy programs, organizing various activities such as arts, socio-cultural events, crafts, sports, music, cooking, gardening, and exercises.

Merritt, known as the "Country Music Capital of Canada," boasts stunning natural landscapes, including the nearby Nicola Valley and the picturesque Nicola River.

Merritt also hosts various events throughout the year, including the Merritt Mountain Music Festival and the Nicola Valley Pro Rodeo, offering residents and visitors alike plenty of opportunities for entertainment and recreation.

Casual employment means work requirements can vary between zero and 37.5 hours per week, with shifts available during days or evenings.

Once hired into a casual role, employees are eligible to apply for internal postings, including permanent part-time or full-time positions.
