ROLE OBJECTIVE:


Reporting to the Senior Director of Training and Content, the Training Specialist is responsible for developing and conducting training activities for all Environics Analytics (EA) data products and software tools.

The Training Specialist will also contribute to developing on-demand materials in an engaging way that will increase client retention of information and encourage the use of our data and tools.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

To effectively fulfill the responsibilities of this position, the employee must be able to do the following:

  • Conduct training activities, including collaborating with other Training Specialists to update training programs and ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Track and report on training activities; utilize technology to improve both productivity of the team and the engagement of users
  • Contribute to the design of instructional materials used in the EA learning environment following departmental guidelines; consider the merit of alternate instructional delivery methods
  • Utilize industryrecognized techniques for the delivery of training

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

Education - Post-secondary degree in Geography or a related field.

Experience years of experience, preferably in a related business; experience in instructional design, education, or adult learning preferred.

Technical Skills - Expertise in Microsoft suite; knowledge of and experience with learning management systems and video recording software preferred.
