We are seeking a talented and experienced 3D Animation Supervisor to join our team who will serve a key role in leading and inspiring a team of talented artists As an Animation Supervisor you'll be delivering on high-quality projects, training/mentoring junior staff, and assist in building our team Our studio is located in the trendy Mount Pleasant area just a short walk away from the Main Street-Science World Skytrain Station.

Job Title
:3D Animation Supervisor (Remote)

What You'll Do:

Lead and mentor a team of 3D animators, provide guidance, feedback, and support.
Collaborate with Clients and Management to understand the project requirements, vision, and translate into a plan and execute.
Identify potential challenges and propose solutions
Conduct daily meetings to communicate project updates, feedback, and build team morale.
Ensure deadlines and quality requirements of the animation department are being met
Assist the Coordinator and Management team with project estimates
Create amazing animations on a variety of projects and productions
Demonstrate a strong sense of performance, physical motion, posing, timing and weight, including lip sync and camera composition
Expected to animate more complex or technically challenging shots to a high level of polish
Take greater care in the details of performance and generate mínimal notes
Work closely with other departments to conduct animation tests to ensure assets are production ready
Provide input and feedback to developers to create/test animation tools for our remote pipeline solution

What You Need:

Minimum 5 years experience in 3D animation, with at least 2 years in a similar role
Working knowledge of Autodesk Maya
Thorough understanding of animation principles
Ability to manage staff and schedules professionally
Strong communication skills and ability to liaise between management and staff
Ability to take direction and provide a consistent quality of work
Highly organized with the ability to multitask
