Victim Services Case Worker:


Are you enthusiastic about providing immediate support and follow up assistance to victims and witnesses of crime and trauma? The City of Mission is looking for a compassionate, knowledgeable, and organized individual to join the RCMP department as a part-time Victim Services Case Worker.


Reporting to the Victim Services Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing direct support services to crime and trauma victims and witnesses; ensuring that service delivery for the program conforms to program guidelines and objections; liaising with police members and a variety of government and community agencies to coordinate work efforts, promoting program awareness and sharing information; and providing immediate follow up and court support services to victims of crime, trauma, and family problems, as well as youth and families in crisis.

You will also prepare and maintain required records, statistics, reports, and correspondence related to the program.


You will be knowledgeable about program objectives, policies, procedures, and services provided to victims and witnesses of crime and trauma and have considerable knowledge of crisis intervention practices and techniques.

You will have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and effective communication skills.


You will have completed high school (or equivalent), supplemented by courses in the field of social science including sociology, psychology, criminology or a related discipline, plus considerable related experience in a police environment, victim services program, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Applicants must currently possess, or can obtain and maintain, RCMP enhanced reliability clearance.


The hours of work for this part-time position are currently Mondays and Tuesdays from 11:30 am to 6:00 pm and Fridays from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm with the ability to pick up additional shifts.

The 2023 hourly rate of pay is $33.06 plus a comprehensive benefits package.
