SANITATION WORKER

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Cleaning equipment such as sheeters; cutter; dough press; mixers
  • Cleaning of walls and floors in the croissant room
  • Cleaning & sanitizing of all surfaces & equipment in the food production areas
  • Follow all Health and Safety guidelines established by spec for this position
  • Keep accurate records of cleaning performed
  • Keep Supervisor informed of any unsanitary practices that may be occurring in the bakery
  • Perform duties assigned from the Master Cleaning Schedule. Inspect areas requiring attention
  • Job duties are varied and spread over a number of locations in the bakery.
  • Job duties are not limited to the above and other duties may be assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:


  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Involve repetitive motions
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Must be able to stand, walk, climb, reach, lift, pull, push, stop, squat, bend, push and pull carts, trollies, boxes, use pump truck
  • Must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience working in a Food production environment preferred but not essential
  • Food safety and sanitation knowledge is a definite bonus
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Must have clean steel toed, nonslip work boots, preferably waterproof
  • Ability to communicate comfortably verbally and in written English
  • Flexible hours as required

Salary:
From $16.50 per hour


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability
