Our Heidelberg Materials Northern Alberta Rural division is looking for a driven and motivated marketing and sales performer with a proven track record of bringing value to the customer by listening to their needs, being responsive, and earning their trust daily.

The
Sales Representative will report directly to the Materials Area Manager for Northern Prairies & Northeastern BC. This position can be based in Edmonton, AB, or Red Deer, AB.


What you'll get to do:


  • Initiate and lead marketing efforts to promote ready mix concrete, sand and gravel, and concrete products in Northwest Alberta, Central Alberta and North East British Columbia
  • Liaise with owners, specifiers, customers and end users to ensure our products are accepted and specified in projects
  • Proactively & strategically shape results by knowing your customers & the market better than anyone
  • Leverage a structured sales approach that helps you manage territory and deliver the right product to the right customer at the right price with a specific focus on Sustainability
  • Be committed to your customers and create an experience that establishes Heidelberg Materials as the Sustainable and most reliable construction materials provider
  • Effectively manage and maintain existing customers and projects while continuing to develop and work new customers and projects
  • Actively maintain customer interactions and strategies through sales planning and documentation of market and territory development.
  • Support a strong team culture by engaging in team meetings that drive alignment and team success
  • Responsible for the business development through proposing, identifying, and assessing of growth opportunities that will shape the growth and success of the region.

Essential Experience and Skills:


  • Three to five years of sales/marketing experience, preferably in a construction materials environment or significant concrete/aggregates technical experience and knowledge
  • Construction market and industry knowledge an asset
  • Has brought value to the customer by listening to their needs, being responsive, and earning trust daily. Proven track record demonstrating revenue, volume, and profitability growth
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with solid organizational, multitasking and timemanagement capabilities
  • Goal and resultsoriented with the ability to take initiative
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time

Preferred Experience and Skills:


  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in related field or equivalent experience preferred
  • CRM software experience
  • Prefer business to business sales and customer service experience
