Principal Accountabilities:


  • Ensure safe, timely and satisfactory completion of all mechanical maintenance work
  • Maintain and improve the plants preventive/predictive maintenance system
  • Lead problem solving and analyze results of maintenance repairs to ensure plant objectives are met
  • Maintain a professional relationship by active collaboration with other departments in the plant
  • Perform miscellaneous jobrelated duties as assigned
Required Qualifications

  • Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Millwright Certification
  • Practical 'hands on' experience in a manufacturing/agricultural environment
  • Possess basic knowledge of industrial safety, food safety and environmental regulations with absolute commitment to safety
  • Selfstarter with ability to work effectively and lead within a team environment
  • Strong problem solving skills, good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and a desire to be part of a highperforming team
  • Knowledge of the Maintenance Reliability process (predictive and preventative maintenance) and Predictive Technologies
  • Requires rotating oncall weekends, occasional shift rotation, holidays, overtime and additional hours beyond regularly scheduled shift for occasional emergency or planned routine maintenance
  • Must be able and willing to work from heights, work outside in various weather conditions, inside the plant, in confined spaces, in dusty conditions and in a potentially physically strenuous environment
Preferred Qualifications

  • Agricultural experience
  • Automation control, boiler and steam systems training and experience will be considered an asset
  • Demonstrated computer skills including data entry and data retrieval
  • Mechanical aptitude to work from all types of blueprints, maintenance manuals, and drawings and the mathematical knowledge required for such work
  • Forklift operator license
