THE OPPORTUNITY

Responsibilities will include a variety of tasks, including:

  • Bird identification
  • Data collection
  • Daily data entry and reporting
  • Manual hazing of birds
  • Deployment and maintenance of bird deterrent infrastructure
  • Assessment of deterrents and recommendations to prevent habituation
  • Wildlife identification
  • Bird sweeps, wildlife hazing, and other wildlife programs, as required

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Postsecondary education (degree or technical diploma) in biology, environmental science, or a related discipline
  • Ability to work long days in the field and handle physically demanding work
  • Demonstrated attention to detail required for data collection and entry
  • Experience in bird identification considered an asset
  • Positive attitude and ability to work cooperatively in a team environment essential
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
