THE OPPORTUNITY

Responsibilities will include a variety of tasks, including:

Bird identification
Data collection
Daily data entry and reporting
Manual hazing of birds
Deployment and maintenance of bird deterrent infrastructure
Assessment of deterrents and recommendations to prevent habituation
Wildlife identification
Bird sweeps, wildlife hazing, and other wildlife programs, as required

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Postsecondary education (degree or technical diploma) in biology, environmental science, or a related discipline
Ability to work long days in the field and handle physically demanding work
Demonstrated attention to detail required for data collection and entry
Experience in bird identification considered an asset
Positive attitude and ability to work cooperatively in a team environment essential
Valid Class 5 driver's license
