THE OPPORTUNITY
Responsibilities will include a variety of tasks, including:
- Bird identification
- Data collection
- Daily data entry and reporting
- Manual hazing of birds
- Deployment and maintenance of bird deterrent infrastructure
- Assessment of deterrents and recommendations to prevent habituation
- Wildlife identification
- Bird sweeps, wildlife hazing, and other wildlife programs, as required
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Postsecondary education (degree or technical diploma) in biology, environmental science, or a related discipline
- Ability to work long days in the field and handle physically demanding work
- Demonstrated attention to detail required for data collection and entry
- Experience in bird identification considered an asset
- Positive attitude and ability to work cooperatively in a team environment essential
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
