Description
This role will work to fulfill an organizational design project with the Department of Defense. It is estimated to be a one-year project. Options are available for contract or full-time employment. The work will be Hybrid, working part-time out of a DND office.This role will support the Digital Transformation Office within the Department of Defense in setting up two new directorates, DG Data Readiness and related divisions/work units.
This work will include:
- Providing expert advice and recommendations to contribute to the development of the organizational structure to ensure effectiveness, efficiency, and results.
- Providing expert advice and recommendations on the resourcing strategies to acquire to right resources to fulfill the Office's mandate.
- Conduct a readiness assessment and action plans, including a risk assessment management framework, to plan and implement the DTO organizational setup.
- Providing expert advice and recommendations on the behavioural competencies and advice, guidance, and coaching to build capacity to effectively use strategies and related tools.
- Developing sustainable Human Resources options to address the organizational transformation requirements, including the organizational design and resourcing options
- Following project management procedures and reporting tool requirements
- Conducting research and analysis on organizational development and design solutions
- Identifying and providing organizational design recommendations
- Have a university degree and 10 years of organizational development experience.
- Have completed at least 2 organizational design projects with the Federal Government in the last 10 years
- Have completed at least 5 organizational development, research, or strategy projects related to IT or Digital Transformation
- Have 10 years of experience conducting interviews and promoting stakeholder engagement with senior management personnel
- Have completed at least 5 projects identifying functional and operational business lines including their specific objectives and priorities
- Have at least three years (within the last 5 years)of branch operational planning and oversight or change management experience.
