Key Responsibilities:

Prepare Meat Products: Receive deliveries of meat products and inspect them for quality and freshness. Use cutting tools and equipment to trim, debone, and portion meat according to customer orders and restaurant specifications.

Maintain Inventory: Monitor meat inventory levels, rotate stock as needed, and communicate with suppliers to ensure adequate supply of meat products. Properly store and label meat products in accordance with food safety guidelines.

Ensure Food Safety: Follow proper sanitation and food safety procedures at all times, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment, maintaining temperature control, and adhering to HACCP guidelines. Handle and store meat products safely and hygienically to prevent cross-contamination and spoilage.

Provide Customer Service: Interact with customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner, answer questions about different cuts of meat, and offer recommendations based on customer preferences and cooking methods.

Prepare Special Orders: Fulfill special orders and requests from customers, such as custom cuts or portion sizes. Accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences, and provide personalized service to ensure customer satisfaction.

Maintain Equipment: Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of meat cutting equipment, including sharpening knives, replacing blades, and lubricating machinery. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management promptly.

Collaborate with Kitchen Staff: Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure that meat products are prepared and cooked according to recipe specifications and customer orders. Communicate effectively and work as part of a team to meet production goals and maintain efficiency in the kitchen.

Adhere to Regulations: Comply with all relevant regulations and standards governing meat handling, including USDA guidelines and local health department regulations. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in meat cutting and butchery.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a meat cutter or butcher required.
- Knowledge of meat cutting techniques, including deboning, portioning, and trimming.
- Familiarity with different cuts of meat and their uses in cooking.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift and move heavy cuts of meat.
- Excellent knife skills and knowledge of meat cutting tools and equipment.
- Food handler's certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Positive attitude, teamwork skills, and commitment to providing highquality products and service.
Salary:
$18.00-$20.00 per year
