Position Information:


The Project Manager leads the planning and delivery of strategic projects/initiatives related to the planning and execution of TOH's Master Plan, coordinates the delivery of assigned projects, and ensures delivery within scope, budget, and requirements.

Below are the main job requirements and responsibilities for the Project Manager:

  • Manages the planning and delivery of projects/initiatives that are of strategic importance to the Hospital.
  • Manages several projects and initiatives within the assigned portfolio, supporting a culture of innovation and datainformed decisionmaking at the Hospital.
  • The projects typically involve a heavy amount of engagement and collaboration with project teams, management team, senior leaders, physicians across TOH, OHRI, UOHI and external stakeholders.
  • Acts as the resource person for various Committees associated with the projects and is responsible for stakeholder engagement, workplan development, ensuring that milestones are met and that the projects are achieving their objectives.
  • Develops project strategies, frameworks and recommendations based on a strong understanding of evaluation principles.

Rotation/Shifts:

Days, 8 hour shifts.


Basic Requirements:


  • 4year Undergraduate Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline or in a healthrelated field or an equivalent mix of education and work experience.
  • A minimum of five (5) years recent experience in project management, implementing quality improvement strategies and change management.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience guiding project teams.
  • Experience with preparing and delivering presentations, with report writing, writing briefing notes for Senior Management and with implementing and evaluating business plans.
  • Strong experience of managing strategic projects, championing change and adaptability to changing environment.
  • Knowledge of the methods, practices and systems used in project management.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with project stakeholders and to manage client relationships and expectations.
  • Understanding of program planning principles, design development process and operational readiness principles.
  • Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements and corporate performance indicator data including to generate graphical representations, using Power Point.
  • Ability to implement, facilitate, lead change, and to propose process improvements and valueadded initiatives.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with project teams, business stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written, combined with excellent organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • A Master's degree in health or business administration or other related discipline.
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP).
