Purpose:

Reporting to the Guelph Plant Controller, this position will be responsible for assisting the Plant Controller with accounting responsibilities associated with invoices and journals.

This position also includes general reception duties, and other customer service tasks as required.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting duties

Matching, coding invoices for payment processing on a weekly basis.
Reconciliation of daily milk receiving activities between DFO and DAX and ensure the accuracy.
Maintaining the petty cash activities
Track/process and receive funds for member orders
Processing of inbound/outbound cream sales and purchases
Processing of employee expense reports on a timely basis
Preparing bank deposits on a monthly basis
Preparing the A/P accruals monthly
Reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts
Analysis on the key overhead spending accounts
Monthly reconciliation of cream purchase from outside supplier and sales to outside customers
Provide assistance to Plant Controller on special projects

Administrative duties

Oversee all aspects of general office coordination
Interact with clients, vendors and visitor
Responsible for visitor sign in log and GMP forms
Answer telephones and transfer to appropriate staff member
Prepare shipping documents for couriers and manage mail distribution
Run payroll statements, and distribute paystubs to supervisors
Coordinate office/visitor security access cards
Set up and coordinate boardroom bookings when required
Order meeting lunches and process staff orders
Validation of DAX ingredient/Packaging PO's
Order and control the cafeteria supplies
Process the staff orders to head office bi weekly
Research, price and purchase office supplies
Coordinate the yearly document destruction, company events suer as BBQ, Coop etc.
Processing Guelph Chamber of Commerce
Certificates of required
Other duties as assigned by the Plant Controller

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years related experience with general bookkeeping and accounting administration
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
Strong communication skills, including written and verbal
Effective analytical and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage strict deadlines
Detail oriented and accurate with respect to data
Works well with internal and external customers
Results driven with careful attention to detail
