Hours: 37.5 Hours - Full Time - must be willing to work a flexible schedule.


Reporting Line:
Reports directly to the Associate Director and Executive Director


Position Summary:

The YWCA Moncton is seeking an enthusiastic, talented, professional to join our ambitious team.


Reporting to, and working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, the Fund Development Coordinator will support all fundraising efforts, including funder prospecting, relationship building, stewardship, and outcomes management.

This position ensures that annual revenue growth goals are met appropriately, as set by the senior leadership team.

The Fund Development Coordinator will assist the Executive Leadership Team, including the Board of Directors, with building and maintaining relationships within the funding community.


Working in collaboration with the YWCA Moncton's stakeholders, the Fund Development Coordinator will support the implementation of strategies that generate awareness, relationships, engagement, and financial support from within the YWCA Moncton's existing constituency and the broader community.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:


  • Communications, marketing, fundraising or stakeholder engagement preferred.
  • Experience coordinating projects, meeting, and exceeding targets.
  • Bilingual (French & English) preferred.
  • Great written communication and proposal writing skills.
  • Flexible, organized, and dependable with excellent timemanagement and problemsolving skills.
  • Adept at managing multiple projects and complex situations.
  • Rapid learner, who thrives in a fastpaced environment and with proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to coordinate systems, track progress to goals, and communicate this information.
  • Comfortable interacting with high level contacts, including board members, foundation officials, corporate representatives, and major donors.
  • Enthusiastic with outstanding interpersonal and oral communication skills.
  • Articulation and comfortable picking up the phone and calling people to track down information.
  • Selfstarter with the ability to work with mínimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit fundraising will be considered an asset.
  • An effective team member, experienced in working collectively towards goals.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

Employee performs duties within established vision, mission, policy guidelines, goals and objectives that relate to YWCA Moncton.


Agency

  • Advance the Mission and Strategic Plan of YWCA Moncton
  • Represent the YWCA Moncton positively within the community.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team of YWCA Moncton in the preparation of annual operating plans and budgets, incorporating fundraising projections into the budget of the organization.
  • Work cooperatively with other team members. Interact positively with members, volunteers, community leaders, and Board of Directors. Treat everyone with respect and dignity, regardless of race, ethnic background, gender or socioeconomic background.
  • Attend meetings and trainings as required. Participate on staff committees as requested or necessary. Participate in association activities and events.
  • Transfer information between staff, volunteers and public to ensure smooth running of operations.
  • Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs and workshops.
  • Perform other jobrelated duties as requested and as deemed necessary by the Executive Leadership Team.

Fund Development

  • Coordinate, assist in updating, and/or maintain strategic fundraising plans with daily and weekly targets around contacting prospects and maintaining donor relationships as part of annual fundraising campaigns with clear deliverables in:
  • Growing digital fundraising and awareness campaigns with clear metrics.
  • Assisting with the ongoing planning, promotion, execution, and evaluation of two main annual fundraising campaigns.
  • Assisting with prospecting and securing additional monetary and inkind donations and sponsorships to support events and/or planned program needs.
  • Liaising with other YWCA member associations to document and disseminate best practices in fundraising.
  • Coordinate the donor recognition program.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of solicitations that will grow annual revenue from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
  • Coordinate and track all appeal campaigns in conjunction with leadership team:
  • Update donor records in Donor Perfect and produce reports as needed.
  • Assist with processing and acknowledgment of all philanthropic contributions.
