The program delivery department delivers the core, front-facing product of the Pinnguaq Association.

Operations touches on all aspects of the Pinnguaq lifecycle but leads the direction and strategy for Mentorship and Job Creation (MJC) and Delivery.

This team operates Pinnguaq's presence in its communities by delivering employment and digital skills workshops and developing Pinnguaq resources, including Curriculum, Root & STEM Magazine and educational kits.

The Mentorship and Job Creation Division delivers funding programs under our "Steamworks" brands.

The Delivery team leads the implementation of resources in the Association, including management of the Makerspaces and the Computers for Success Nunavut Program.

While each department is vital to the Pinnguaq Association's success, Program Delivery represents the Pinnguaq brand in communities and the embodiment of the Pinnguaq lifecycle to the public.

Program Delivery comprises two divisions, making up over 50% of the Pinnguaq staff base.

The divisions of Delivery, Mentorship and Job Creation are experts in their respective fields and, by working together, bring the best quality of the Pinnguaq partner and client interaction forward.

Responsibilities:


The Chief of Program Delivery develops and oversees the strategy that operationalizes delivering our training and funding to rural, remote, and Indigenous communities across Canada.


Strategy
Define and lead MJC and Delivery strategy rooted in the organizational strategic plan and OKRs.


  • Lead and drive the vision for the Mentorship Job Creation and Delivery departments, coordinating an informed approach to the strategic plan and annual OKRs for projects including StreamWorks, Computers For Success Nunavut, and Makerspace expansion.
  • Oversee a strategy for Pinnguaq's Job Creation strategy rooted in a focus on creating sustainable employment in rural, remote, and Indigenous communities in Canada
  • Oversee the strategy for the expansion of Pinnguaq delivery offerings across Canada, including the expansion of Makerspaces (Hubs).
  • Oversee the strategy for Pinnguaq Mentorship both internally (in collaboration with the Department of People and Culture) and externally (for Pinnguaq participants).
  • Working closely with the COO, oversee a strategy of di-siloing and connecting the priorities and workflow of Education, MJC, Delivery, and Enterprise Productions (The Pinnguaq Studio).
  • Effectively communicate insights, learnings and trends to Pinnguaq's Board, leadership team, and key stakeholders

Evaluation
In partnership with MJC and Delivery, along with our finance and evaluation teams, develop and track key metrics to measure progress

1. _Oversee day-to-day execution of Pinnguaq's delivery and MJC teams to ensure operational excellence_

  • Supervise direct reports, holding them accountable to agreed-upon outcomes regularly.
  • Coordinate, advise, and mentor on the development of operating models with Directors of MJC and Delivery that will deliver successful outcomes
  • Collaborate with other Pinnguaq staff to maximize youth growth and skill development internally and externally.
