Overview:
Cedar Fair is seeking a

Manager of Digital Marketing at our

Canada's Wonderland location. The Manager of Digital Marketing is responsible for driving successful brand strategy and a superior consumer experience on Canada's Wonderland's multiple digital platforms, including website, mobile app, influencers, and social media channels.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute Canada's Wonderland's social media strategies and plans, including the creation of both organic and paid social media content, schedule and manage postings; monitor guest comments and respond in a timely manner across all platforms.
  • Responsible for the growth of current and future social media platforms with strategies to improve KPIs such as engagement, following, social traffic to the website and conversions. Monitoring and reporting out on key social media, and providing guest sentiment reporting for all platforms and channels.
  • Manages photo and video assets and all related multimedia equipment.
  • Manages Canada's Wonderland's website and mobile app by generating original content, leveraging existing content, and/or partnering with agencies and corporate teams for content while incorporating SEO best practices). Develops digital content for all major attendance driving programs (including new products, consumer events, promotions, pricing, season passes, etc.) as well as keeping ongoing content up to date and fresh (including park hours, entertainment schedules, ride closures, etc.). Acts as liaison to broader organization (marketing, sales, foods, merchandise, rides) attending meetings and establishing ongoing communication in order to ensure all content is as relevant as possible.
  • Provides assistance as directed by the Director of Communications for programs such as, but not limited to: media and public relations support, internal communications and commercial/advertising production projects.
  • Where required, conduct or oversee video and photo projects for digital marketing needs, including food and beverage shoots, and drone videography.
  • Lead crisis communication efforts across digital platforms, including: the development of consumer responses/statements, posting on social media outlets, and answering guest questions/comments on social platforms where appropriate. Assist PR team with media and guest inquiries.
Assist with other responsibilities including, but not limited to:
writing press statements, making statements on camera, and answering press or guest questions.

  • Responsible for assigned digital marketing budget and justify spending, timely reporting, and management of expenses.
  • Adheres to and enforces all Cedar Fair and specific Park policies and procedures, including safety, attendance and demonstrates commitment to customer service in all aspects of employment and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (4year college or university) coupled with 5 years of related work experience (prior experience in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or Creative Arts is an asset)
  • High degree of PC literacy, including MS Office, Adobe suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, InDesign), proficiency with social media platforms (including Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok, Twitter, Youtube), experience with visual and audio editing tools and tech, and familiarity with web content management systems; SEO/SEM and ecommerce experience a plus
  • Extensive skill in photo and video asset creation and editing
  • Design proficiency in creating engaging social media video and photo posts, stories, reels, Tik Toks and tweets
  • Highly organized and strong attention to detail coupled with strong verbal, written communication, and analytical skills
  • Must be detailoriented and possess excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Highly selfmotivated and results oriented with strong customer service skills and ability to work in a team environment required
  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs. A valid Ontario Driver's License is also an asset.
