Description
NOTE:
This is a Temporary position for 3 months, with the possibility of negotiating permanent employment thereafter.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Assist the property and equipment manager, shipper & receiver, rig managers, welders, and mechanics with a variety of tasks that include lifting and hauling various tools and equipment and assembling and disassembling equipment
- Provide manual labour and ground support as needed
- Load and unload equipment off delivery and transportation vehicles, which may involve rigging and hoisting
- Supporting equipment and item transportation, placing, loading, unloading, and organising, including support for bed trucks and thirdparty crane work.
- Assist maintenance, machine repair, and subcontractor personnel to ensure tasks are performed safely and efficiently
- Adhere to and participate in the shop/yard compliance with the Safety Management System (SMS), and adhere to all safety rules and regulations
- Operate various types of heavy equipment including forklift, frontend loader, etc.
- Other duties as required
Experience and Training Requirements
- 2+ years experience in warehouse, shop, or yard atmosphere
- Physically fit and can perform labor intensive duties in winter outdoor weather conditions
- Fluent in English both verbal and written
- Basic knowledge of hand and small power tools
- Valid Class 5 Driver Licence with a clean drivers abstract & reliable transportation
- Successfully pass a preemployment drug & alcohol test prior to employment
- Successfully complete a 50lbs, Level II Health Assessment
- Energy Safety Canada Confined Space Entry & Monitor ticket an asset
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Customer focused with a team player attitude
- Proven ability to handle multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment
- Attention to detail, mechanically inclined and strong problemsolving skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
Benefits and Additional Details
- 3month term
- Full time (40 hours per week)
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Ability to work overtime as necessary to meet project deadlines
- Available to work oncall, when necessary, evenings and weekends
- Free onsite parking

$22.00 per hour
