Scope

The City of Surrey has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Equipment Operator - Crane Truck.

This regular full-time position is responsible for driving, operating and light servicing of a tandem axle flat bed truck with hydraulic crane attachment.


Responsibilities:

Perform routine construction and maintenance tasks.

Operate a tandem axle crane/flatdeck truck with trailer, including lifting, loading, positioning, transporting and unloading materials, tools and equipment under varying traffic and road conditions.

Transport materials, tool sheds and guard rails and picks up and delivers materials to work sites. Complete pre-trip inspection of equipment including checking oil, fuel levels, tires, lights, lubricating and safety operations. Provide direction for those working with the truck and assists crew members in performing their duties. Uses various truck attachments such as plows, sanders and water tank.


Qualifications:

Completed Grade 12 or GED.
Have previous experience driving and operating air brake equipped trucks.
Possess a valid Class 3 BC Driver's License with air brake endorsement and a safe driving record.
Possess a current Crane Operator Certificate Level A.
Conditions of Employment

This position requires completion of a Police Information Check.
