Job Information
The Junior Human Resource Officer reports to the Client Services Manager and is responsible for providing of front line human resource services in the areas of recruitment, employee orientation and employee recognition.
You will develop and implement departmental recruitment plans with departmental managers by facilitating the recruitment process, ensure recruitment and selection process is consistent with policy, legislation, and best practices, chair and facilitate selection committee activities including screening and interviews and provide support, advice and guidance to managers in determining recruitment options.
You will also be required to prepare documents for direct appointments, secondments, and transfer assignments ensure the effective delivery of recruitment and retention programs such as Summer Student Employment Program, Internship Program and Indigenous Career Gateway program and prepare reports on statistics such as Affirmative Action, new hires, competitions, and other related information.
Typically, qualifications would be attained by:
A relevant degree coupled with 1 year experience in a relevant field.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
