    Description
    GFL Mississauga (Fielding location) is looking for a quality control/sampling technician to support the refrigerant line of business

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Sample inbound refrigerant materials, conduct screening analysis, record results
  • Ensure appropriate data entry is completed and proper assignments of material
  • Interpret and compare results
  • Blending and preparing product to prescribed specifications
  • Maintain a high level of organization in a fluid environment
  • Communicate and liaise with other departments
  • Housekeeping to maintain a safe work area
  • Respond to emergencies and help with the spills clean-up
  • Ensure all work complies with Safety Standards and all applicable Codes
  • Maintain good working relationship with coworkers and customers
    • Some overtime required
  • Other duties as requested by Supervisor

    • Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

  • Chemical or Environmental Technology Education, related field of study or experience.
  • Must be available for afternoon and night shift (shift is to be determined)
  • Must be able to work in a 70% indoor and 30% outdoor environment
  • Must be clean shaven (will have to wear a respirator)
  • Must be comfortable working at heights up to 10 feet
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Exemplary communication skills
  • Work in an outdoor environment
