Reporting to the Director, Services for Seniors and Performance Improvement, the Program Manager will ensure the delivery of high-quality services, staff orientation and supervision, quality management and performance improvement.

The individual will be a role model in an organizational culture that embodies the vision, mission and goals of the organization.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:


Responsibilities:


  • Ensures that the assigned programs meet established objectives and standards;
  • Develops and oversees program processes, as well as setting and monitoring achievement of program goals;
  • Oversees and reports program evaluation and outcome measurement results to the Director;
  • Recommends program improvement and expansion initiatives to the Director and participates in their development;
  • Monitors all program client recording and statistical reporting to ensure that information is up to date, accurate and complete in the client information system and other files;
  • Monitors and reviews the implementation of existing departmental activities to make optimum use of staff, facilities and resources;
  • Evaluates the performance of staff according to policies and procedures, including performance reviews and evaluations;
  • Participates in all leadership development implementation activities for staff and themselves;
  • Provides support to hiring, disciplinary and grievance processes and conducts yearly performance appraisals of staff;
  • Conducts and documents formal supervision meetings with staff.
  • University degree and/or Community College Diploma in social services or related field (an asset);
  • Minimum 3 years experience in formal supervisory roles;
  • Demonstrate superior ability to supervise, coach, mentor and engage staff;
  • Superior ability overseeing the daytoday operations of assigned programs;
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with pressure of changing demands.

Key skills and abilities we are looking for:

  • Self-directed and independent, but also experienced in working effectively as a member of a team, which includes internal and external stakeholders;
  • Above average written ability; ability to analyze written reports, complex documents and publications;
  • Familiar with relevant legislation (e.g., Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA), Employment Standards Act,etc_._);
  • Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy;
  • High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability;
  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills;
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Applied computer skills (Microsoft Office, Client Information Systems, Web browsing).

Special Requirements:


  • Criminal background check;
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, statutory holidays, as required;
  • Must be willing to participate in an oncall rotation.

Reconnect Community Health Services is a not-for-profit health service organization located in the west end of Toronto. We provide services for seniors, caregivers, and people living with mental health and addictions concerns.

$70,000.00-$88,000.00 per year
