Position Description:
Responsibilities:
- Administration of a multitier, highavailability ArcGIS Enterprise system that includes hybrid of onpremises and virtual environments.
- Plan and execute ArcGIS Enterprise installations, upgrades, and patches for all environments.
- Design, build, install, configure, and manage Enterprise Geodatabase(s) (MSSQL) to include user and data administration in accordance with industry best practices and company information security standards.
- Implement improvements to increase process efficiency and effectiveness through solution designs that ensure consistency, security, maintainability, and flexibility.
- Maintain and update ArcGIS Enterprise backup and recovery processes and procedures.
- Automate common system administration, and monitoring using models, Python, or other tools.
- Respond to ArcGIS Enterprise breakfix inquiries as required.
- Author technical documentation for Barrick Exploration and IT staff.
Qualifications:
- Expertise in ArcGIS Enterprise administration of multitier, highavailability deployment. Experience with ArcGIS Portal, ArcGIS Server and Image Server.
- Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise Geodatabase administration, geographic data standards, and spatial data management.
- Experience installing, using, and supporting additional Esri software: ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS, ArcGIS mobile apps and various geospatial APIs and SDKs.
- Web technology and configuration of IIS/Apache, nginx, etc. for GIS deployment.
- Experience working with cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience with authentication/authorization systems including SAML.
- One or more
Technical Certifications:
Esri Enterprise System Design Professional, Esri Enterprise Administration Professional, Esri Enterprise Geodata Management Professional, or GISP. Other IT and GIS certifications are a plus.
- Knowledge or work experience in a resource extraction industry an asset.
- Collaborative and solutionoriented, resourceful, and a selfstarter.
- Excellent organizational, time management and office management skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently.
