Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership for implementing and maintaining HSE Management System, programs and initiatives throughout the organization and within an operational team setting
- Liaison with clients, third parties, HSE and other internal clients (e.g. Learning and Development, Business Development and other Companies within CEDA)
- Facilitating CEDA's incident investigation program deliverables in conjunction with responsible operational team members, providing coaching and feedback where necessary
- Responsible for location documentation management and development in accordance with organizational expectations
- Audit and monitor CEDA's risk management program elements as required in accordance with organizational and client expectations
- Develop and facilitate learning sessions or presentations to increase awareness of organizational risk management practices
Role Specifications:
- 35+ years of HSE experience
- HSE diploma/certificate, National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) designation, Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST) or Professional (CRSP) is an asset
- Operational field or safety experience in an industrial industry is an asset
- A strong working knowledge of related Occupational Health & Safety legislation as well as Environmental and Transportation regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft suite of programs (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and able to pick up new computer systems easily
- Valid Class 5 licence with no more than 5 demerits
- Willingness and ability to travel within the Fort McMurray region

- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organization, prioritization, skills with a high attention to detail
- Ability to work with limited supervision, in a team environment
- You have the capacity to problem solve and thrive in high pressure situations
- Ability to influence staff at various levels to promote loss prevention
