McCormick Canada is looking for an entry level Associate Product (Brand) Manager to join the CPD Marketing team; this role can be based out of either Mississauga, ON or London, ON.

This Associate Product (Brand) Manager will be primarily responsible for leading strategic marketing activities for the Baking Portfolio to achieve long-term business goals.

In addition, this position will have overall responsibility for the innovation strategy for the segment.

Responsibilities of this position include category strategy development, insights, and positioning and, innovation pipeline development that support McCormick's net sales and profit objectives:
Provide analysis of and recommendations relating to product offerings and business results
Prepare and deliver on-going business updates and reports to senior marketing and business management
Identify consumer target. Use insights to develop breakthrough ideas that deliver the defined initiative business objective and delight our target consumer.
Prioritize learning plans to ensure initiatives connect to consumer needs.

Develop, write, test, and optimize consumer and shopper-based concepts and platforms that capture a promise, resolving an unmet or unrecognized need.

Ascertain & size business opportunities.

Contribute to the evolution of 5-year product pipeline and funnel within company's strategic priorities that support equity choices for the brand/category.

Participate in management of product life cycle
Participate in new product business case development, financial forecasting, supply chain, pricing, P&L structure and recommended in-market execution.
Generate breakthrough ideas that inspire to enable technical advantages while exceeding our consumers' wants & needs.
Build, shape & deliver new propositions, partnering with respective functional experts.
Utilize commercialization process to ready projects for commercialization and launch.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors Degree in Marketing or closely-related business discipline (MBA preferred)
Minimum of 6 months of relevant work experience. Recent graduates with an Internship/Co-Op are encouraged to apply.
Strong understanding of Excel, data analysis, financial analysis, and business planning helpful
Good written communication and presentation skills
Strong leadership, creativity and problem-solving skills with a bias for action
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and motivate a team to achieve results
Demonstrated excellent results in professional positions that indicate interest and capability for the role
Demonstrated success leading and championing business recommendations for senior management
Consumer products experience preferred but not required
Experience leading cross-functional teams a plus
