Description
The Construction Foreperson is responsible for leading landscape construction installs.

Bringing exceptional leadership and time management skills, the Construction Foreperson will guide their team through various construction projects, providing them with the skills and motivation to complete all tasks on time, on budget and safely, while exercising their strong knowledge in construction best practices to ensure that all projects have been completed to the highest standards.


Assign tasks based on work schedules, keep workers on task, complete timesheets and inspect the quality of work to ensure job requirements are met.

Instruct crew members on proper work standards. Interact with customers to resolve issues or answer questions. Crew leaders, also called foreperson, work along with crew members in completing all landscaping installations/maintenance.

Operate a variety of hand tools and equipment such as packers, chain saws, hedge shears, sod cutters, pruning saws, mowing equipment, etc.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in the construction industry
  • Strong knowledge in landscape and construction best practices and able to interpret drawings
  • Experience in installations involving natural stone, walkways, precast, excavation, and planting designs
  • Knowledgeable and experienced with a variety of power tools and equipment
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively lead a small crew
  • Able to operate a skid steer and excavator
  • Strong communication skills
  • Valid 'G' driver's license
