    KEY OBJECTIVE:

    This is a Sr. Data Scientist , AI/ML role based out of our Toronto office and offers the opportunity to leverage the entire spectrum of AI tools towards solving a wide variety of business problems as well as unique challenges in problem-solving. The focus is on applying a combination of industry-standard practices and innovative ideas using structured and unstructured data from multiple sources and applying AI, machine learning and statistical techniques to build, evaluate and implement models.

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, build, and test machine learning models to solve complex business challenges.
  • Ensure high quality and production ready code that meets business objectives, quality standards and secure development guidelines.
  • Experiment with advanced machine learning techniques including deep learning, Gen AI and graph analytics to solve business problems related to forecasting, pricing, underwriting and risk engineering.
  • Work with large amount of structure and in-structured data to generate actionable insights and communicate them to business.
  • Build reusable tools or pipelines to streamline the modelling process and share knowledge across projects and teams.
  • Work with IT/AI Engineering teams to integrate them in business applications.
  • Master's or PhD degree in computer science, computer engineering or other related fields.
  • Expertise in developing machine learning models to solve real-world challenges for over three years.
  • Experience with DL frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Experience with NLP tasks/models such as embeddings, relationship extraction, coreference resolution, transformers.
  • Nice to have experience with graph algorithms such as clustering, link prediction, node or graph classification is a huge plus.
  • Experience defining solution architectures and exploring technical feasibility trade-offs is a huge plus.
