SUMMARY OF DUTIES

GENERAL DUTIES
Support with the preparation of business process analysis, identification of process requirements and development of associated documentation to support the EAM project implementation


Proactively communicates and collaborates with project stakeholders to analyze information needs, business and functional requirements while delivering outcomes such as: business process flows, business requirements documentation, use cases and interface designs.


Support the identification of business processes and requirements through the effective use of facilitation and engagement methodologies for workflow development and process requirements for configuration.


Make recommendations on services, processes and programs while striving to continuously improve processes and identify opportunities for cost-reduction as well as propose key performance indicators important to the Division with an emphasis on dashboard style reporting.


Drive business process analysis and challenge staff within the organization on assumptions of current and future state process as well as the identification of gaps and opportunities for improvement to implement effective and efficient business processes.

Assist in the implementation of operational initiatives oriented to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Divisional operations.

Design and develop solutions for moderate to complex problems related to business processes including process workflows and information management.

Collaborates and participates with the project team in the planning and execution of system and user acceptance tests.

Participate in project delivery models providing expertise during the EAM project stages and working with other project stakeholders specially the Scrum Team to support setup, configuration, and go-live implementation of the EAM system.

Participate in workshops, team meetings, scrum planning sessions, showcases, retrospectives and daily sprints a directed.


Conducts Internal Process reviews and sign-off on process design deliverables; conducts ongoing and retroactive process reviews on any training/project development; provides documented feedback and results of review processes to ensure conformance and compliance to organizational requirements.

Identify potential risks, communicate based on criticality and develop plans to mitigate.


Support training efforts, including the identification of needs analysis, input and support of the design and delivery of training programs.


Participate in defining project scope; reviewing business requirements and ensuring key deliverables are conducted according to the workplan as directed.

Regularly communicate/interface and build strong relationships with all appropriate stakeholders and project team members.


Work in accordance with the provisions of applicable health and safety legislation, management of confidential information and all City of Hamilton corporate and departmental policies and procedures related to occupational health and safety.

Perform other duties as assigned, which are directly related to the major responsibilities of the job.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in process design for technology initiatives.
  • Business Analysis certification and/or related hands-on experience.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.
  • Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere.
  • Organized, self-motivated and self-monitoring individual with good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Asset Management and Asset Management System(s).
  • Comfortable working in complex environments and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Have creative thinking and analytical approach.
