The Operations Manager is dedicated to the continual growth of the studio, staff and teaching team, and our community.

You will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day administrative operations of our studio, ensuring exceptional customer service, and promoting sales and memberships.


If you have a deep appreciation for yoga and a knack for leadership, we would love to hear from you This is a dynamic position that requires the ability to adapt to the fast-paced nature of our studio, while also being able to handle slower periods with a proactive approach.

1 year minimum commitment requested.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Team Management_
  • Responsible for the recruitment, training and ongoing performance of teachers, front desk staff and cleaning support
  • Schedule staff and ensure all shifts are covered, providing back up support for any gaps in coverage
  • Lead by example and maintain consistent accountability through feedback and coaching, ensuring adherence to Union's values and goals.
  • Foster open and constructive dialogue with instructors and staff
  • Administrative_
  • Maintain accurate records of client memberships, attendance, sales, and other relevant data using our studio management software.
  • Manage the class schedule, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and instructors' availability
  • Handle requests for substitutions or replacements when instructors are unable to teach.
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of workshops, retreats, and special events.
  • Oversee the invoicing process, ensuring accurate and timely billing and payment
  • Manage corporate bookings and maintain effective communication with corporate clients
  • Oversee retail management, including inventory tracking, restocking, and implementing effective sales strategies
  • Develop and implement efficient systems and processes to streamline studio operations.
  • Work independently to ensure the studio operates smoothly during all hours of operation.
  • Customer service & Sales_
  • Foster a positive and inclusive studio culture that aligns with our values and encourages community engagement.
  • Manage the front desk operations and provide exceptional client experience
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the studio space
  • Approach member concerns with professionalism and care
  • Promote achievement of personal and studio sales goals
  • Promote workshops and special events
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling content for social media, website updates, newsletters, and other promotional materials.
  • Business Growth_
  • Collaborate with the studio owner and other team members to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance studio performance.
  • Monitor attendance trends and sales data to identify opportunities for growth and implement effective strategies to increase studio participation and revenue.
  • Stay uptodate with industry trends and best practices, attending workshops, conferences, and continuing education programs as needed.
Other duties as assigned based on studio needs.

  • Strong organizational and problemsolving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on delivering exceptional results.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to selfmanage tasks effectively.
  • Clear communication skills, including the ability to handle difficult conversations and receive feedback from others
  • Proficiency in using Mindbody Online, or other client management software, and the

Google Suite:
Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms or similar tools.

  • Proven experience in a managerial role, preferably in the fitness or wellness industry.
  • Marketing and sales experience is a plus.
  • Proven experience providing exceptional customer service
  • Passion for Yoga and Pilates and a good understanding of the industry.

Salary:

$19 - $24 hourly wage, commensurate with experience, less taxes and deductions. Position includes access to classes; Training period is paid.
