    Description

    Our Senior Network Consultant will be responsible for network infrastructure discovery, design, implementation, and operations (break/fix repair, change requests, and scheduled maintenance) for network infrastructure solutions, customer network and procedure documentation. Also, you will work and communicate with project managers and clients on project status, findings, recommendations, and timelines.

    Essential Functions

    • Conduct network discovery, review and assessment to evaluate gaps and availability of enterprise network
    • Network capacity analysis, responsible for overview of managed customers capacity and performance
    • Design enterprise network according to industry standards and trends. Identify and recommend improvement areas and new technologies to clients
    • Develop implementation and migration plan according to new solution recommended
    • Develop and maintain systems documentation (operating procedures/best practices/standards) and network diagrams; work with team leads/clients to develop procedures and guidelines for implementation and management of network administration
    • Recommends and implements standards and procedures improvements for the implementation and administration of physical and virtual infrastructure
    • Maintains good working knowledge of current infrastructure and future trends.
    • Participate in on-call rotation for escalation support of technical issues, supporting the 24x7 operation environment both onsite (20-30% of time) and remote

    Education

    • Four years of University resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent job-related experience

    Certifications

    • Cisco CCNP or above certification preferred
    • ITIL certification is preferred.

    Experience/Background

    • 10+ years' experience
    • Experience with enterprise level networking infrastructure design review and discovery to a number of organizations including LAN/WAN, high availability, routing/switching, firewall and security solutions across enterprise networking infrastructure
    • Good assessment skills identifying gaps and deficiencies in networking and data centre environments
    • ·Experience with network infrastructure redesign and recommendations according to industry standards and trends. Develop implementation and migration plan according to new solution recommended.
    • Familiar with various network management and security tools including Infoblox, NetScout management tools, Qualys, Stealthwatch and Secure Network Analytics, AppDynamics, etc.
    • Experience with stateful and Next Generation Firewalls including Palo Alto Firewalls and Panorama, Cisco ASA and FTD, CheckPoint.
    • Working knowledge of Cisco products (Nexus, Catalyst, ASA, FirePower, ISR/ASR, etc.), Cisco ACI, VxLAN, Infoblox, VMware, Azure, AWS, F5 LTM and VIPRION, HP Networking products
    • Experience with mission critical, 24x7 high availability environments required

    • Expert communication skills, including the ability to document and demonstrate procedures and processes.
    • Able to function efficiently in a multi-task environment and work under pressure.
