Position Highlights

ICBC is hiring an Analytics Advisor to join our Information Governance team. The primary function of this role is to proactively

monitor critical data for accuracy, then investigate and remediate discovered issues for resolution. This includes working

together with all business operations and IT to ensure critical data is proactively tested for quality.

You are a data driven, critical thinker that will perform alternative analysis in support of business options, including drafting rules

to test data, identifying gaps and opportunities, and assessing business performance metrics for critical data.

In this role, you will provide advisory services to senior leaders in multiple divisions to support data-driven decision-making,

identifying and translating their needs for data-driven insights into meaningful analysis and ad hoc reports.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Accounting, or Mathematics is preferred, or equivalent level of related work
experience in lieu of degree.

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills, with a track record of synthesizing large amounts of data to
identify areas of opportunities and/or risks;

  • Ability to effectively communicate analysis and issues in a clear and concise manner within the business context;
  • Knowledge of database concepts and data models;
  • Ability to transform data into information, insights and thus outcomes;
  • Experience with analytical software and reporting tools used at ICBC (e.g., Tableau) is an asset;
  • Ability to use and understand SQL is an asset.
