- Maintaining knowledge of Banking, Investment and Fiduciary Laws, Rule, Regulations, Codes and Guidance.
- Monitoring adherence to relevant regulations and Butterfield Policies, Procedures and Controls.
- Ensuring working papers are completed in accordance with the prescribed template, effectively addressing the requirements and scope of the test and test findings, and that actions and recommendations are clear, concise and measurable.
- Assisting with research, drafting and refining of compliance monitoring test criteria.
- Promoting a positive compliance culture through engagement with employees at all times.
- Providing support to the Country Compliance Officer and Head of Compliance - Channel Islands, as and when required, including monitoring, recording regulatory communications, reviewing marketing material and monitoring the Regulator's Submissions Portal and report preparation.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to operate effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and deliver high quality work.
- Ability to multi-task and work to deadlines.
- 3 years relevant experience.
