  • Preparing and serving of alcoholic beverages to guests including creating daily drink specials and recipes
  • Providing beverage service for additional F & B outlets
  • Provide food service requirements to guests
  • Accountable for balancing daily sales; Comply with established cash handling procedures
  • Operate point of sales system (Micros), Collect cash, credit/debit card and other methods of payments
  • Responsible for ensuring par stocks for outlet are maintained including daily ordering of liquors and supplies
  • Maintain sanitation and hotel standards in outlet
  • Clean and sanitize glasses, work areas and bar equipment including dish machine
  • Organize entire work area to Delta standards
  • Responsible for both Bar and VLT float, Pay out winnings of VLT's
  • Plan, organize and control the operations of a lounge or bar
  • Enforce provincial/federal liquor legislation and regulations
  • Be able to professionally interact with unruly patrons
  • Accurately complete daily beverage inventory
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:


  • Knowledge of all types of beer, draughts, liquor and wines required.
  • Recognized Mixology course or equivalent ability gained through experience is required;
  • Responsible Alcohol Service Course required
  • Previous experience with a POS system required
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Must be honest, reliable and dependable
  • Must possess strong upselling and suggestive selling skills
  • Basic accounting and computer skills required
  • Delta Service Standards as relating to Bar an asset
  • Positive, enthusiastic, outgoing personality a definite must;
  • Must demonstrate behavior consistent with core values
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills required
  • Must be a responsible, organized individual who can work with minimum supervision
  • Practice good hygiene
  • Must be in good health and accustomed to walking and standing for long periods ; Must be able to frequently lift up to 80 lbs
  • Must be a team orientated individual with good interactive skills
