    Description
    The purpose of this job is to provide all aspects of NetBackup administration and provide technical guidance and support to Junior L1 NetBackup administrators

    Responsibilities:
    Managing and Troubleshooting day to day backup operationsDefines policies and standards for the use of NetBackup.
    Manages all NetBackup application infrastructure changes (Change & Configuration management)Capacity management, etc. for bottlenecks & issuesEnsure quality standards in release.
    Perform root cause analysis for P1/P2/P3 and P4 incidents and/or proactively based on business needs.

    Work with the right teams within or 3rd parties for the implementation of changeFollow the required policies and procedures for the incident, problem and change management.

    Ensure service performance expectations are met with service levels and quality.

    Raise/escalate any service-related issues and risks to Track lead and/or CLIENT Track LeadKnowledgeable about the Tape Backups and related troubleshooting methods.

    Well versed with basics of Operating systems such as Linux, Windows, Solaris etc.
    Hands-on experience on NDMP Backups and their configuration.

    Hands-on experience on NetBackup installations, upgrades on all levels (Master Server, Media Server and Clients) on Windows as well as UNIX.


    Minimum Qualifications:
    Graduate or postgraduate in Technology with Computers or Information Technology (IT) stream.
    Knowledge about other products like BMC Control-M(CM), Cross File Transfer (CFT), Connect Direct and NetBackup is preferred.
    Technical and system expertise in relevant IT workstreams.
    Strong problem-resolving abilities, communication skills (written and verbal), time administration and management, and the team partnership and collaboration.
    Ability to effectively interact with stakeholders in implementation of new functionality and solving problems.
    Capability to coordinate and execute projects assigned.
