JOB SUMMARY:
This is a leadership position, which supervises all aspects of production of automotive parts (Quality, Maintenance, etc)
JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
- Coordinate and schedule activities of the Production Associates.
- Contribute to the establishment of improved methods to meet work schedules.
- Prepare production and other reports as required.
- Keep attendance reports and timesheets updated daily.
- Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
- Ensure completion of proper training for Associates in their required job duties, work instructions, safety procedures, and ensure that Associates comply with company policies and procedures.
- Report accurate and timely information to the Production Manager, and or department heads.
- Provide input and assist in developing the elimination of waste and spoilage through Kaizen, 5's and Continuous Improvement projects.
- Responsible for safety and good housekeeping in the various workstations.
- Perform any other task as required by your Manager from time to time.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-Secondary Education in a related field and/or three or more years' experience as a Production Supervisor.
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001(responsibilities, processes, etc)
- Good working knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Sodecia policies and standards for safe work
- Must be familiar with computer systems including but not limited to: Excel, Word, Access, and Power Point.
- Must be able to work flexible hours from time to time to meet internal / external customer requirements.
- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in Quality, Program Launch and Supervisory requirements within stamping/assembly environment
- Completion of Quality related courses and/or internal auditing is a definite asset.
- Excellent attendance record required and proven performance record
- Previous experience related to the specifics of the present posting including the required skill and ability
