About the Opportunity


GDLS-C is offering qualified students the opportunity to enhance their work experience with a full-time
Designer Student role on their Design Services Team.

Designers will support the Design Services and Design Engineering Teams through various responsibilities.


Job Summary:

  • Use Siemens NX Software to develop 3D part models for mobile defence subsystems with supervision from experienced senior designers or design engineers
  • Develop layouts, assemblies, and detail drawings from sketches, notes or direction from senior designers or design engineers using SAE and MIL standards
  • Incorporate engineering change requests into existing designs
  • Assist as necessary in the development of departmental processes, standards and related documentation

About You

  • Completed 2 years of a University Degree or College Diploma in an Engineering technical discipline
  • Experience using 3D design software such as Siemens NX, Solidworks or Autodesk Inventor
  • Possess or be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport
  • Must be able to meet Anthropometrical Size Requirements for confined space
