The general duties and responsibilities for a Material Handler for All Ontario Recycling are listed as follows:

  • Operating a Caterpillar (hydraulic excavator) with both grapple and magnetic attachment
  • Loading trailers with scrap material and sorting of materials
  • Performing daily pretrip inspections of equipment and accurate record keeping
  • Advising manager of any defects in equipment
  • Heavy duty material handling in a scrap metal yard
  • Placing material in appropriate areas of the yard
  • Feeding a Baler with scrap material
  • Performing daily pretrip inspections of equipment & accurate record keeping
  • Advising manager of any defects in equipment
  • Other typical operating duties may apply

Skills/Qualifications

  • 23 years experience operating a Caterpillar
  • 23 years material handling experience
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Self motivated and able to work independently
  • Must thrive in fast paced work environment
  • Must be organized, independent, resourceful and dynamic

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
From $27.00 per hour
