Financial Analyst:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Financial Analyst to support strategic business decisions through financial models, forecasts, business and financial analysis, industry research, and special projects.

What you will be doing:

Financial Modeling, Research & Analytics (70%)

Support business development and product teams in building business cases, financial models, opportunity sizing, IRR/NPV analysis along with conducting postmortems to track actuals against outlined project initiatives
Assisting our leaders in strategic planning and longterm business strategy building
Presents reporting / analytics and recommendations to internal stakeholders in order to support decision making and the achievement of strategic objectives
Collecting, analyzing and synthesizing key insights from various data sources to inform strategy development and next steps
Analyze customer value and dynamics of customer behavior by product / merchant
Conduct extensive research on the consumer finance industry and market data such as competitor analysis and sizing, comparable public company data, equity and debt markets etc.
Assist with fundraising material preparation, as required

Business Planning (30%)

Assist with the forecasting process, including updating for new sales opportunities
Assist in the annual Corporate planning process with business analysis
Develops reporting and analytics to support business / group presentation of results and peer comparison for internal / external stakeholders e.g. monthly, quarterly and annual MD&A, analyst presentations, etc.
Ad-Hoc analysis as required

What you should have:

years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

In progress / completion of CFA, CBV or MBA
Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively both verbally and in writing
A selfstarter able to take on ownership and get work done effectively
Ability to analyze data and make actionable recommendations with minimum direction
Challenges the status quo through innovation of existing models and processes
