Description

  • The Manager will collaborate with the Manager for Radiation Oncology, the respective supervisors, and the physician leads for the relative programs to assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of the operational vision for the program within the context of the Niagara Health (NH) corporate vision and the Ontario Cancer Plan.
This work will allow for optimal care coordination and patient flow, ensuring the best possible patient experience. Integration with our regional partners in the HNHB (Hamilton, Niagara Haldimand, Brant) and Ontario Health will also be required to promote provincial direction for Cancer Care.
The Manager will demonstrate behaviours that support a client

The Manager will assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of the program goals to meet the fiscal operational targets.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, or other Professional College
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or other healthcare professional degree; Master's degree preferred
  • Three to five years of managerial/leadership experience
  • Recent and relevant clinical experience
  • Dynamic interpersonal and leadership skills including critical thinking, communication, responsiveness, conflict resolution, change management, people management, visionary thinking, customer service and problemsolving
  • Demonstrated results in aligning program goals with corporate strategy and NH Purpose
  • Ability to build and lead a cohesive team, through engagement, transparency, respect and responsiveness
  • Demonstrated commitment to an exceptional patient experience including access, flow, quality and patient satisfaction
  • Ability to respond to large numbers of simultaneous demands from multiple key stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data and utilize information in order to make effective financial decisions
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, interpret date and utilize information to make effective financial and operational decisions
  • Experience in the analysis and utilization of data to drive continuous quality improvement
  • Experience in the management of risk and safety for patients, visitors and staff
  • Proven experience in building external and community partnerships
  • Working knowledge of the Public Hospitals Act, role of Cancer Care Ontario, regulation legislation, labour agreements, hospital policies and procedures
  • Project Management, Leadership, Healthcare finance, LEAN or other related certifications will be an asset
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing education in the health or business sectors
  • Consistent and regular attendance required.
  • Vaccines (COVID19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption based on medical or on a ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code
