LOCATION:

Various locations (Woodstock, Ingersoll, Tavistock)





START DATE:
Upon Hiring


HOURS:

Dependent upon position, and requirements of the program


RATE OF PAY:

$18.13-$19.85 per hour*- _This wage includes $2.00/hour as per the 2023 Provincial Child Care Wage Enhancement as applicable _

  • If an RECE, an additional $1.00/hour may be paid if eligible as per the CWELCC Workforce Compensation
  • We are seeking to fill these various Before and After School Age positions with reliable, friendly, energetic, and

qualifications/documentation:

  • Experienced and passionate about working with children
  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Child & Youth Worker, Recreation and Leisure, Educational Support
Worker, Elementary Education-Primary division, Educational Assistant, Social Service Worker or
Developmental Service Worker would be considered a strong asset _(Eligibility for position is dependent upon _
- education) _

  • A member in good standing of the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators _(if applicable)_
  • Current Certification in Standard First Aid, including Infant and Child CPR
  • Current Police Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Check acceptable to Good Beginnings
  • Current Safe Food Handling Certificate
***Good Beginnings is looking to fill various positions for our School Age programs. These positions include, but aren't
limited to, Designated Educator, Educator, Educator Support Staff, and Enhanced Staff Facilitator. Full details of the
positions will be provided at the time of interview based on interest and qualifications.

and the policies established by the Board of Directors, and regulations under the Child Care and Early Years Act.

They will also be required to work as part of a team, to guide children in all areas of development.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS

  • Ability to work split shifts in between the hours of 6:45am 6:00pm
  • Plan and implement activities based on the children's needs and interests
  • Excellent communication skills: written, oral, listening and nonverbal
  • Works as a cooperative and respectful member of the team
  • Adhere to all licensing requirements as set out by the Child Care and Early Years Act
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures as established by the Board of Directors of Good Beginnings
  • Familiarity with the following curriculum/resources would also be an asset:
  • How Does Learning Happen? Ontario's Pedagogy for the Early Years
