Description

Whyte's Foods is a family-owned food processing business that began in
1892 and is the largest producer of pickles, relish and maraschino cherries in Canada. We are still growing and have more than 350 employees at our plants in Wallaceburg (Ontario), Laval, St-Louis (Quebec), and our Ste-Thérèse Distribution Centre. We are currently looking to hire a Quality Assurance Lab Technician at our location in Wallaceburg

DUTIES:

Verify and maintain laboratory equipment and apparatus such as pH meter, Refractometer, densitometer.
Perform the chemical analysis test for the food products.
Verify Critical Control Points and prerequisite programs during production
Perform routine inspection in the plant such as daily preoperational checks, ATP & allergen swabs, GMP compliance, temperature, glass and knife inspection.
Schedule, collect & submit samples of ingredients, inprocess and finished product for analysis to make sure that quality of products complies all the time.
Perform environmental sampling (air, water, swabs) as per company standard procedure and submit analysis requests.
Verify incoming raw materials
Maintain accurate and complete documentation of quality control daily inspection.
Other related duties as assigned
