Your Role:


We are currently searching for a
Document Control Coordinator to oversee and maintain engineering records and information in a project environment.

This role will correspond with and receive general guidance from the Document Control Lead.


Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the Document Control function and ensures that the various document control standards and procedures are followed
  • Records and tracks internal and external distribution of documents
  • Ensures the timely transfer of electronic files to/from engineering consultants, project team, construction team, and contractors/vendors
  • Responsible for data entry and maintenance of internal and external databases
  • Prepares transmittals, scans and files documents, and performs other clerical tasks
  • Responsible for the assignment and control of drawings, new drawing numbers, equipment, instrumentation and line numbers
  • Ensures that all required fields of information on request forms and drawings have been entered correctly
  • Monitors and ensures that engineering processes are being followed
  • Responsible for adhering to all health and safety policies and guidelines
  • Performs other duties or assumes additional responsibilities as required
  • Responsible for ensuring that drawings and documents adhere to client standards and procedures
  • Responsible for maintaining and distribution of current client standards
  • Performs quality assurance checks on externally distributed records
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining a positive client relationship
  • Recommends process improvements and develops work instruction drafts for review and approval as required

Qualifications:


  • 310 years of document control experience
  • Able to multitask and manage a varied workload
  • Experience with SharePoint, ALIM, and Adobe Pro an asset
  • Experience working in an engineering environment, including reviewing and issuing work packages, reports, drawing requests, and processing vendor documentation, is an asset
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must be capable of decisionmaking within defined role and displays strong initiative
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to work well within a consultative teamoriented environment
  • Seeks and welcomes support, feedback, and input from others
  • Excellent personal interaction skills; outgoing, confident, and strong personal presentation
  • Selfstarter, willing to learn, seeks out opportunities for career and personal development
The salary range for this position is $45,000 to $65,000.

education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.
