We are currently looking to grow our team and have an opportunity for a _
Human Resources Business Partner for a 14-18-month Contract.

THE ROLE:


As an integral part of a collaborative team, this position will act as first point of contact for the general administration of human resources.

Director of Human Resource


Position Type:
Full-time, non-union contract Months)


Key responsibilities include:


  • Building and maintaining effective working relationships with managers, employees and union partners in supporting the delivery of general HR services and supports across multiple sites.
  • Provides support to homes on employee leaves and return to work, benefit, and pension administration.
  • Developing and updating onboarding materials and learning processes, including online modules, forms and policies using multiple platforms.
  • Supporting the transition and implementation of a new Human Resources Information System (Ceridian Dayforce); and post HRIS implementation maintaining data integrity within the system while producing reports and metric analyses as required.
  • Creating and enhancing HR, health and safety, and other workplace policies to ensure continuous best practices are in place.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:


  • Postsecondary education from a recognized institute in Human Resources
  • CHRP designation an asset
  • Demonstrated knowledge of general HR practices and processes, recruitment and selection best practices, Benefit and Pension administration, employee leave management.
  • 35 years working in a Human Resources position.
  • Experience working with Ceridian Dayforce an asset.
  • Demonstrated reliability to work independently and ability to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications abilities with conflict resolution experience.
  • Experience in working with unions and collective bargaining
  • Detailoriented and focused on delivering results.
