Matrix is looking to hire

Carpenters for a project in

Calgary, AB.

Scope of Work:

Performs selective demolition and removal of waste.
Repairs and constructs external timber stairs way to Summer Dock.
Install buoyancy floats and cedar boards to the metal dock.
Operates hand and power tools.
Works closely with other members of the Carpentry team.
Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

Must be willing to perform a wide variety of tasks with varying physical requirements from lifting, and climbing ladders, and being on your feet for extended periods of time.
Must be willing to work at height and in confined spaces.
Extended outdoor activity; exposure to varied weather conditions.

Qualifications:

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Versatile in all types of general carpentry.
Proficient with the safe operation of carpentry tools and power tools.
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
Must be able to work safely with other workers and abide by our client's safety manual.

Requirements:

Prior carpentry work (Red Seal/Journeyperson).
Relevant construction experience, residential or commercial.
Valid Driver's License.
Tool Pouch.
Full PPE.
AWP preferred.
