The Jones Consulting Group Ltd. Is hiring a Permanent Part-Time Accounting Assistant for our Administration Department.We are a Land Use Planning and Civil Engineering firm providing all facets of land development and municipal consulting services to our clients.
We are a Barrie based business that has operated in Simcoe County and beyond for over 30 years.The Accounting Assistant will be expected to successfully undertake the following responsibilities:
- Generate monthly invoices in a timely and accurate manner
- Preparation of bank deposits and credit card processing
- Assist with Accounts Receivable and Collections
- Assist with Accounts Payable and Payroll Maintain project files
- Assist with reception duties
- Vacation coverage for Controller
- Occasional delivery/pick up of documents
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Must have own vehicle and valid drivers license
Required Skills:
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
- Excellent ability to plan, organize and prioritize work
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Work, Outlook)
- Experience with accounting and payroll software
- Deltek Ajera project management software experience would be an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Job Types:

$25.00-$30.00 per hour
