Summary:


  • The Inventory/receiving associate is responsible for inspecting, verifying, and accepting a shipment into inventory within a warehouse or operation. In a transparent supply chain, every link has access to relevant information on the origins and status of products, including when inventory will arrive._

Job Roles and Responsibilities:


Responsibilities for Receiving

  • Accepts and signs for deliveries from distributor.
  • Assists in unloading shipments from delivery truck.
  • Uses dollies, forklifts, and other moving equipment to transport shipments from loading dock and around stockroom.
  • Opens boxes and inspects contents of shipments.
  • Responsible for receiving all purchased materials. This includes assuring an accurate physical count of all incoming purchased materials.
  • Received each part into Epicor. (The part is now in inventory)
  • Physically puts these parts into the correct bin in the parts store.
  • Processes returns for any defective or incorrect items.
  • Checks shipping invoice to ensure all items are accounted for.
  • Contacts seller or distributor to resolve shipment discrepancies.
  • Stores, restocks, and shelves delivery items as necessary.
  • Ensures that stockroom is clean and organized.
  • Processes transfers for shipments moving on to another location.
  • Maintains records of all received shipments.
  • Conducts inventory of products, and logs data into inventory database.
  • Contacts distributor to inquire about shipment delays or problems.
  • Reports any major or unresolved shipment delays or problems to manager.
  • Maintains accurate daily records of goods received and post details in EPICOR ERP system.
  • Manages and maintains inventory system; facilitates upgrades to related database and/or software under the direction of the purchasing or inventory control manager.
  • Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory.
  • Maintains the integrity of the inventory cycle counts and quarterly physical counts

Responsibilities for Kitting

  • Prints the pick list from Epicor and will pull the material from this list needed for the appropriate job.
  • Parts are labeled with the appropriate job #s. and are placed in WIP area in the store.
  • Issue each part from the from Epicor pick list to the correct Job #. (Pulling from inventory and placing to WIP)
  • Distributes the correct parts to the MH for each Job.
  • Issuing hardware and sub assembly details to assembly work orders using EPICOR.
  • Closing of detail work orders in the EPICOR computer system into the proper inventory warehouse and location.
  • Locate and stage product for job.
  • Record the transaction in the ERP system.
  • Maintain accurate counts in ERP system
  • Record missing parts and communicate needs to manager
  • Performs other related duties as requested.
  • Responsible for pulling parts needed for intercompany transfers by utilizing the sales order and purchase order process.
  • Maintains the proper inventory levels and assures accuracy of hardware at the assembly bench.

Position Requirements:

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • 25 years experience in warehouse shipping/receiving.
  • Warehouse experience in picking and packing orders.
  • License and certification to operate heavy machinery is strongly preferred.

Required Skills/Abilities:


  • Excellent communication skills with warehouse workers, purchasing department, and outside vendors.
  • Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.
  • Proficient keyboarding skills.
  • Pays close attention to detail.
  • Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to develop professional relationships with outside vendors.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience with computerized inventory systems required.
  • Forklift operator certification preferred.
  • Demonstrates awareness of proper warehouse and factory safety procedures.

Job Types:

Salary:
$18.00-$22.00 per hour
