Job Description:
IBI Group is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join its
Toronto office as a Junior Planner.
The role will involve undertaking research and policy reviews and assisting with land use planning, design and development strategies for private and public sector clients.
As a Junior Planner you will have the chance to work in a collaborative environment at a multi-disciplinary firm that takes a holistic approach and for a career opportunity with long term development and growth.
Most Of The Things You'll Work On:
- Conducting research and policy reviews
- Involvement in stakeholder and public consultation, including the preparation of materials for public meetings, open houses and workshops
Qualifications:
You'll Need To Have:
- Degree in Urban and Regional Planning or a related discipline
- Eligibility for membership with the Ontario Provincial Planners Institute (OPPI) and the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP) is preferred
- At least 1 year of relevant planning experience is preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and individually
- User functionality in MS Office products. Knowledge of GIS, CAD, Illustrator, SketchUp, or similar programs would be an asset
- Valid Class "G" Ontario Driver's Licence is required
